Where did the month go???

Oh yeah, I remember now, football, basketball, piano, dance, scouts, activity days, birthdays, birthday parties, a father son trip to disneyland, and Halloween. Oops, almost forgot...our 13th anniversary. Phew. Here are some of the photo highlights

That's right folks...the big 4 0 ! I think Tim was shocked on his birthday when we didn't have a big party....I surprised him (sorta) with that 2 weeks later. But he did get a sweet cake, and a golf trip with his Dad, Kevin, and Dave Turner. I heard he only tried once to break a club into one hundred pieces...so it must have been a great trip.

Cooper turned one! I can't believe how fast this year went. He is such a sweet boy. He is totally loving food, and as demonstrated by the photos, he demolished his birthday cake. At one point he went totally pale and we thought for sure he was going to puke...but he held it in, and enjoyed opening his presents. He still crawls, (if you can call it that), we call him Quasimoto because it is so odd looking. Sometimes when he forgets that he people are watching, he will walk all across the room, but I think he is trying not to let on that he can actually do that. I think the other kids were as excited for his birthday as he was. So much fun!

Lots of college football...check out the super fans...and lots of doctor appointments as we get ready for sister roses double knee replacement...fingers crossed everyone!
HALLOWEEN!!!! (yes Tim and I were KISS in BSU colors...nerds)

Still Alive

I'm still alive. Football season is almost over, found some other mom's who can carpool to dance, I got all the lessons already planned for all my kids art classes, and Sis. Rose's surgery is scheduled...I think I'm gonna make it.

Dirty Laundry

Tim took over the laundry...said it seemed to get the best of me...went upstairs this morning and found this...um, let's just say, I'm waiting for the tap out.

Cake Boss

Tatym has found her calling....really. She happened upon a couple TLC shows about cake decorating, and it was all over. She's already named her future bakery, and is currently trying to talk me into a local cake decorating class...(which I am sure we will end up taking). I bought her a huge cake decorating book and she read it cover to cover, told me what ingredients to buy and then made this cake for Tim's 40th birthday. (With not much assistance from me)

Feis and Football

Sorry to anyone who has attempted to converse with me this past month. I have pretty much been a babbling idiot, just trying to stay on top of all the crap, I mean awesome activities, we have been doing. Josh has been playing flag again, and loving it. Tatym and Piper both are doing Irish dance, and I spend every weeknight running all of them to practices. I guess it's paying off since the girls did great at their FEIS and Josh is turning into quite the baller. Here are some pictures of the kids doing what they do! (That's Josh carrying the ball)

BACK ON THE BLUE

WEll, It's football season again. BSU had their first game against Oregon. It was a huge game, on ESPN, and the whole deal. Lucky us, we still have our season tickets. Jenn and Todd came over from Rigby to hit the game with us. We got all decked out, drove the thing downtown and tailgated before the game, and then made our way into the stadium. It was electric! The crowd was SO loud, and I think the guy in front of us nearly had an aneurism several times as he seemed to take personal responsibility for how and when the crowd cheered. Mind you, Jen did tell me that she looked back once and saw every blood vessel in Tim's head showing as he cheered, so I guess I am married to one of "those guys" too. We had an adventurous ride home...running out of gas near Hidden Springs, and pushing the thing a couple blocks...hee hee. All in all...a GREAT NIGHT!!! And of course it is always fun when I see Jen...we crafted until the wee hours, shopped a little, and didn't have nearly enough time to hang out...but I guess it's always good to want a little more...right?

P.S. Thanks for the stellar photos Todd...do you think you could look at the camera...just once????

First Day of School August 31, 2009

Well, the first day of school has come and gone...(picture me doing backflips off the couch). The kids were super excited, and up early ready to go. Dad gave them all awesome blessings, and then I set off to walk the kids to school. Here is our conversation as I remember it:

Me: Okay kids, everybody ready? We need to head down there so we aren't late!
Piper: Mom, I am riding my bike with Tatym and Josh, you don't need to walk me to school.
Me: WHAT? It's your first day, I want to come! (pathetic sniffle)
Piper: Oh okay, but can I still ride my bike?
Me: Sure, I will just walk fast and try to keep up
Tatym: Mom, you aren't going to embarrass us by taking a bunch of pictures or giving us smooches are you?
Me: I might.

The view I had on the first day....(I swear she didn't even look back!)

I welled up as I watched my kids walk off into the school again, but no worries, I made a quick recovery and found lots to do while they were gone...

EEEEK

Went down the stairs...look what was sitting INSIDE my house, by the front door...it looks way scarier in photos, cause it was actually only about a foot long, but still...eeek. Anyone know what kind of snake that is...please don't say rattler.

65

Well, Sister Rose turned 65 on August 17. Tatym made her a cake, she opened a couple presents, and it was a great day. We love her so much, and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with her.

7,8,9,10....

Wowsers...I am really behind on updating about Cooper. Here is a quick summary of the past few months. He hit his 7 month mark the end of may, and started to kind of enjoy food. He still wasn't crawling, in fact, I could barely put him down...he's like a little monkey that just wants to cling to me.

June 25th: 8 months old...okay, we were in canada pretty much for his whole 8th month. It was momentous. He started crawling...it's not your typical crawl, more like an orangutan butt scoot/bear crawl...it's weird, but because I am his mommy I think it's adorable. He also cut his first two teeth...little bottom chompers. He may have tried them out on me once, and I may have cursed under my breath or screamed really loud and scared the heck out of him, but I refuse to incriminate myself.

Coops turned 9 months right after our return from Sandpoint. He really perfected his crawl, and is fully in love with food...especially corn on the cob, pulled pork, and popcorn (not your typical baby foods, I know, but what can I say...he's the fourth, he's just trying to keep up).

10 months old...end of August. Cooper has decided to forego his father's urgent request to "crawl normal", and is going to skip right to walking. He has taken a couple steps, and loves to walk around the furniture. Did I mention he climbs the stairs too? Yikes. His hair went from short fuzz, to long, STRAIGHT, hair. He may need a haircut soon. I think the top teeth are on their way too. He says, Mama, Dada, kitty, and a few other words that only I recognize... he still does his little tarzan noise though...love that. Did I mention that he loves CORN?
