We had an amazing Christmas. It was a mad dash to the end, as we were trying to get the rest of our family situated in their new house. (See other post) But we managed to pull it off and Santa didn't forget about us. Though I haven't yet mailed the Christmas cards...in case you're wondering...
Christmas eve was traditional (for us), we did what we always do...Chinese food at Yen Ching with all the family, followed by carols and the nativity story told by Darren and acted out by the kids. It was so fun and a great way to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. The kids then opened their Grandma jammies from Grandma Dudley, they LOVE that tradition.
I managed to get about 4 hours of sleep before getting up to put in the turkey, and then the kids were up ready to open presents. After all that excitement we had a big fat Christmas dinner here with Randy, Angie and their 3 kids and Darren, Deanne, Matt, Shannon, Caitlin, Isaac and Eli. I dropped into bed by the time the day was done, exhausted and happy. Merry Christmas one and all.
