Disneyland

Tatym October 2007 and Josh October 2009

So my husband had a great idea to start a tradition. When our kids turn 8, sometime during that year, they get whisked away to Disneyland with just Dad! We have surprised both of them so far, and it is such a great time for them. They get to do all the things that they wouldn't get to if we were all there, (or even if it was with me). They stay up late, and eat junk all weekend, and then get up at 6:30 so they can literally be the first ones in the gate in the morning. THen they run from ride to ride, and do every ride as many times as possible until they can't walk anymore. Then they head back to the hotel, take a nap and a hot tub break and then head back for more in the evening. It is a great tradition I think. I think one of the great pay-offs we have gotten was watching Tatym's excitement as Josh went on his trip. She sent Tim an email that was so cute. Here is what she wrote:

tell josh to email me all the answers to these questions...and advice
* what's your favorite ride so far
* make sure you go on california screamin
* get me something cool like a t-shirt or something/i don't care
* make sure to search Disney don't stay all in one spot
* go on every ride I went on
* go to the tommorrow land building
* talk to stitch
* make sure to make dad spoil ya (cause he spoiled me he got me practically whatever i wanted even cotton candy. yum)
* make sure to go to california screamin
* make sure to go to the haunted house cause its gonna be the nightmare before christmas, pirates of the carribean, jungle ride, indiana jones, splash mountain, its a small world (which should be called its a long ride) and many more rides. email me
love tay
ps. what car did you get?

Ha, I loved that!!! Anyway, they had quite a nice correspondence the whole time. I am posting pictures of Tatym and Josh's Disney trips, as Tatym's was 2 years ago...before the blog.
